On December 19, 2018, Manitoulin Health Centre’s Telemetry Campaign received a significant boost. Mr. Doug Smith, representing the Douglas A. Smith Family Foundation, made a $75,000 donation to the current fundraising campaign.
Mr. Smith visited MHC’s Little Current site to tour the emergency department and to see some of the cardiac equipment that his foundation has supported. This is the second donation the foundation has made towards the telemetry equipment campaign. The first donation of $25,000 was received in February 2017. At that time, the Manitoulin Group of Companies (Manitoulin Transport) made a matching donation of $25,000.
