The Visiting Specialist Clinic hosts regular clinic days for physicians from a number of medical specialties. By bringing these specialists to Manitoulin Island, patients receive care closer to home which reduces their travel to larger centres.
Currently, the Visiting Specialist Clinic is hosting physicians from the following specialties:
- Cardiology
- General Surgery
- Gerontology
- Gynecology and Obstetrics
- Nephrology
- Orthopedics
- Pediatrics
Patients must be referred by their primary care provider. The clinics are located on the second floor of the Little Current Site.
