Shriner’s Haweater Unit gifts another $10,000 to the Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya, Manitoulin Island

Mindemoya, ON  - On June 22, 2021 the Manitoulin Health Centre (MHC) received a second donation of $10,000 from the Shriner’s Haweater Unit.  An earlier donation of $5,000 brings a total gift of $15,000 to the MHC, "Let's Emerg Together" Renovation and Expansion Campaign at the Mindemoya Site.

Mr. Willis Campbell, Chairman of the Haweater Social Group and fellow Shriners: Moe Keller, Ted Taylor, and Jim Corrigan from the group located in Gore Bay explained their mission to support medical care has been expressed through gifts to Medical Clinics in all Communities on Manitoulin Island.  Children, supported by the Shriners, have received medical care at the Shriner’s Hospital in Montreal.

These privately invested funds represent a long and careful investment which is being divested.

Angela Becks, Fundraising Chair said “MHC gratefully accepts this very generous gift which is to be directed to the "Let's Emerg Together," Renovation and Expansion Campaign at the Mindemoya Site.”
